A little buggy but still awesome

I love this app. As an amateur, Ive been wanting to invest in Final Draft for years, but I could never quite bring myself to spend that much money. The second I saw this app I was sold. I was skeptical at first and actually considered using it in the interim until I could afford the computer software. But with a bluetooth keyboard, and after reading some of the reviews around the web, I get the feeling its just as good.

I understand its still a work in progress and would have given it a full five stars if it werent for its tendency to crash. It doesnt do it often (some days more than others) but when it does its really annoying.

It usually happens when I backtrack to make a correction. Im a very fast typer and it almost seems like the app doesnt have the ability to think that quickly if you know what I mean.

I still havent figured out if there is a way to manually save my work. It doesnt seem like it. It saves frequently on its own but when it crashes it rarely saves the last sentence. Still, in the beginning it would "forget" the last 2 minutes or so (which is usually paragraphs for me). Now it saves to the very last minute when it crashes.

So it seems theyve been working on fixing the problem and I have faith itll get better.

This is great app. If you have an iPad and youve been looking for a cheaper Final Draft, youve found it. You wont be disappointed.
